Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using MyDhora. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms are read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyDhora, an online exam preparation platform operated from India. By registering an account or accessing any part of the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use MyDhora. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the platform, you represent that you meet these age and consent requirements. Use of the platform for any unlawful purpose is strictly prohibited.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are found to be engaging in abuse, cheating, content scraping, or any activity harmful to the platform or other users. In such cases, no refund will be issued for any unused subscription period.
4. Platform Use and Restrictions
You may use MyDhora for personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes only. You must not:
- Copy, distribute, resell, or commercially exploit any content from the platform
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the question bank in bulk
- Use automated tools, bots, browser extensions or scripts to access the platform
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or access controls
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
- Misuse AI features for purposes unrelated to exam preparation
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or other users' access
- Share or publish screenshots of paid content in a way that undermines the subscription model
5. AI Features — Important Disclaimers
MyDhora includes AI-powered features (Gyan Dost chat assistant, image-based note generation, and question extraction) powered by Google Gemini. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI responses may be inaccurate. Artificial intelligence systems can produce incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information. AI answers should not be relied upon as the sole source of truth for exam preparation.
- Always verify from official sources. For factual questions related to syllabus content, history, geography, polity, or current affairs, you should verify important answers from authoritative textbooks or official government sources.
- No guarantee of exam success. MyDhora does not guarantee that use of the platform will lead to selection in any government examination.
- Your AI chat messages and uploaded images are transmitted to Google's servers for processing as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not share sensitive personal information in chat or uploaded images.
- AI usage is subject to monthly limits based on your plan tier. Limits reset at the start of each calendar month (IST).
6. Subscriptions, Pricing & Auto-Renewal
6.1 Plans and pricing
MyDhora offers free access plus optional paid plans (Plus and Pro). Pricing for each plan is shown on the Upgrade page within the application. Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless stated otherwise. Prices may change from time to time; existing subscribers will continue at their original price until the end of their current billing period.
6.2 Recurring billing and auto-renewal
Plus and Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as you choose at checkout). By starting a subscription, you authorise us, via our payment processor Razorpay, to automatically charge your selected payment method on each renewal date (matching the billing period you chose) until you cancel. You will not be required to re-enter payment details for renewals.
Renewal dates and your current billing period are visible on the Settings page within the application. Razorpay's recurring mandate complies with the Reserve Bank of India's e-mandate framework for recurring card and UPI payments.
If a recurring payment fails, the payment processor may retry the charge up to three times. You will receive a notification if a charge fails. Your subscription will continue to provide access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
6.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Settings page within the application. If you cannot access the application for any reason, you can also email support@mydhora.com to request cancellation.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you will continue to have access to paid features until that period ends, after which your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan.
We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a billing period when you cancel voluntarily.
6.4 Refund policy
All subscription payments are non-refundable except in the following two narrow circumstances:
- Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a clear technical error. We will refund only the duplicate amount — the legitimate charge stands.
- Statutory requirement. A refund is required by an order of an Indian court, consumer forum, or regulator with jurisdiction.
We do not issue refunds for:
- Change of mind after subscribing.
- Dissatisfaction with exam outcomes or your progress on the platform.
- Failure to use the service during the paid period.
- Accounts suspended or terminated due to a violation of these Terms.
- Any service failure — partial or full, including downtime, feature unavailability, bugs, third-party outages (Supabase, Razorpay, Google Gemini, Cloudflare), or temporary degradation of any feature. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" under §11.
- Payments that did not reach us. If a payment was deducted from your account but did not settle to MyDhora (for example, a payment-processor clearance failure), this is a dispute between you and Razorpay. Please raise it directly with Razorpay's support. We can only refund money we have actually received.
Strict 7-day request window. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the charge by emailing support@mydhora.com with your Razorpay payment ID and a brief explanation. Requests received after 7 days will not be entertained, regardless of the reason for delay.
What "at our reasonable discretion" means: we review each refund request against the policy above. If the facts (e.g., Razorpay logs) show your request qualifies under one of the two refundable scenarios, we approve it. If they do not, we deny. We cannot deny a request arbitrarily; we also cannot approve requests that fall outside the policy. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
This refund policy operates within the framework of applicable Indian law. Mandatory statutory provisions, where they apply, do so by operation of law and are not contracted for or against in this document.
The standalone refund policy is available at /refund-policy for reference and as required by our payment processor.
6.5 Free trial / promotional periods
If we offer a free trial or promotional discount, the specific terms (duration, eligibility, auto-conversion to paid) will be shown at the time of the offer and apply in addition to these Terms. Promotional pricing is non-transferable and may be subject to additional restrictions.
6.6 Plan changes (upgrades and downgrades)
To switch plans (e.g., Plus → Pro, or monthly → annual), you must cancel your current subscription first and then start a new one. We currently do not support direct mid-cycle plan switches with pro-ration.
6.7 Taxes
All prices shown include applicable GST. We are responsible for collecting and remitting GST as required under Indian law. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you personally outside India, if any.
7. Question Bank and Content
The questions available on MyDhora are curated for educational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but:
- We do not guarantee that all questions or answer keys are error-free.
- If you find an incorrect question or answer, you can report it through the platform. We review and correct reported errors.
- Questions may be derived from past examination papers. Copyright for such material rests with the respective government bodies. Our use is for educational reference only.
- AI-extracted questions (uploaded by administrators) are moderated before being made available to users.
8. Intellectual Property
The MyDhora platform, its design, brand, code, and original content are the intellectual property of MyDhora. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written permission.
Content you create on the platform (e.g., study notes, voice logs) remains yours. You grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and display such content as part of the service you have purchased. You may delete this content at any time, subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
9. Analytics & Consent
We collect anonymous product usage analytics to understand how the platform is used and to improve it. When you first visit the platform, you are asked to accept or decline analytics. Declining will not affect your ability to use any feature.
Analytics events sent to our processor (Mixpanel, EU residency) never contain your name, email, or phone number. We do not record your screen or replay your session. Full details, including the categories of data collected and your withdrawal rights, are described in our Privacy Policy. By accepting the consent banner, you authorise this anonymous tracking under the DPDP Act, 2023.
Server-side audit logging of payments, signups, subscription changes, and similar operational events is performed regardless of your analytics choice. This is required to operate the service and to comply with statutory record-keeping obligations under Indian tax law.
10. Service Availability
We aim to keep MyDhora available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the continuous availability of any specific feature. The platform may be temporarily or extendedly unavailable due to maintenance, updates, bug fixes, capacity issues, security events, or circumstances beyond our control (including third-party service outages such as Supabase, Cloudflare, Razorpay, or Google Gemini).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without prior notice and without compensation. As stated in §6.4, no refunds are provided for downtime, feature unavailability, performance degradation, or any other service-availability issue, whether partial or full.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, MyDhora and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or progress
- Reliance on inaccurate AI responses
- Failure to succeed in any government examination
- Service downtime or interruptions
- Decisions made on the basis of platform content
In all cases, our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For users on the Free plan, this means our maximum aggregate liability is zero. This cap applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Your use of MyDhora is at your own risk. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyDhora, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of MyDhora shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rajasthan, India.
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us in writing with a description of the dispute and an opportunity to resolve it amicably. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of such notice, either party may pursue legal remedies in accordance with this section.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform features. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where the changes are material (for example, to pricing, refund policy, or your rights), we will notify you through the platform with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of MyDhora after a change has taken effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Contact & Grievance Redressal
For questions about these Terms, refund or billing queries, or to report a violation, email us at support@mydhora.com. We endeavour to acknowledge complaints within 7 days and resolve them within 30 days.
